Economic Offenses Pose a peculiar challenge to enforcement agencies. Therefore separate branch called Economic Offences Wing is incorporated in the crime branch. The Jurisdiction of EOW extends to the whole District. The branch have been divided on functional basis and each unit is headed by Officers of the rank of Senior Inspector. Job frauds, complicated bank frauds, housing frauds, general cheating, frauds in shares and stamps etc. are investigated by EOW.
